Digital Navigators with the Somerset County Library Digital Navigator Program will be happy to help you identify affordable and sufficient Internet Access solutions to meet your needs.  You may schedule a 1:1 appointment with a Digital Navigator for personalized assistance or browse through the resources below to help you identify possible solutions:

  • Use Everyone On’s Offer Locator Tool to search for low-cost Internet offers in your area.

  • Consider applying to join the Lifeline program, if you qualify. Lifeline is a federal program that helps eligible households pay for phone and internet services that is another resource for those who qualify.

  • Try the Library Internet Checkout Program for $35 per month to see if that could meet your needs. Somerset County Library, in partnership with the Mary S. Biesecker Public Library, offers a low-cost Library Internet Checkout Program.

  • Still not finding what you need?  Try a StarLink low Earth orbit satellite Internet solution before you buy. Somerset County Library allows patrons to borrow its StarLink Satellite Internet service for $10 per day or $40 per week. Contact the Somerset County Library Service Desk at 814-445-5907, option 1 at least one business day before you would like to borrow the unit so that staff can get it ready for you or let you know if it is on loan to someone else. Payment will be collected up front at the Service Desk on the day that you checkout the service.
