Digital Navigators with the Somerset County Library Digital Navigator Program will be happy to help you identify affordable and sufficient Internet-connected devices to meet your needs. You may schedule a 1:1 appointment with a Digital Navigator for personalized assistance or browse through the resources below to help you identify possible solutions:
- Visit your local public library and ask to use a public access computer. You may need to get a free library card before using a computer.
- Somerset County Library’s main location at 6022 Glades Pike, Somerset, PA offers several public access desktop computers during library hours–ask at the Service Desk. Hours are 8 am to 8 pm Monday – Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm Friday, 8 am to 4 pm Saturday.
- The main location’s Lobby Services area also offers Chromebooks for use with library WiFi for 4 hours at a time during Lobby Services hours, which are 6 am to midnight, 7 days per week from April through October, weekdays the rest of the year.
- The Conemaugh Township Library branch at 959 South Main Street in Hollsopple is open 9:30 am to 6 pm Tuesday and Thursday, 10 am to 2 pm Saturday.
- Borrow a Chromebook on long-term loan through the Somerset County Library’s Emergency Connectivity Fund (ECF) Chromebook Lending Program. Eligibility conditions apply. Ask at the main Somerset County Library Service Desk.
- Request a free desktop computer to keep – Limit 1 per household in Somerset County. Schedule a 1:1 appointment with a Digital Navigator or call 814-445-5907, ext. 117.
